Trump is not going to jail, even the most critical of his critics have acknowledged how unlikely that is to happen. He surely deserves to rot in jail, trying to destroy all the foundations that America was founded on (which is only one of thousands of crimes) but, he will never see a jail cell. But I do agree with Joy on her intentions in making this remark.
Not trying to be a Trump apologist or anything but this is just a bad line. He is not in a jail cell and none of the trials are close to an end. It’s too many leaps of logic.
I’m willing to take the jump that it’s just convenience keeping him from the debate, that’s part of the joke. She should have just said “court room.”
I agree about the joke being weak, but I think the jokes should be much more slanderous.
