Wink. What you really learned is, some people will leap on any excuse to bash liberals as if liberal was “bad.” It not only isn’t bad, it isn’t stupid either. I can assure you that liberals are wise enough to see how the bottom line for corporations means putting on a facade of caring - of course they do, because they aren’t stupid either. And yes it all serves the goals of capitalism - try finding a workable society where that ISN’T the case. It’s not because of liberals not being bright - it’s because that’s the world that we all live in.

The most woke thing any corporation cares about it its own bottom line. And actually Nike and Disney are smart enough to know which demographic matters most so of course they’re going to be as inclusive and anti-racism as possible (or at least put on the face of being such). And I really think today’s upcoming generations are smarter in that regard - they see the values of inclusivity, not the drawbacks. I hope people today will really help turn the tide in the coming election and show the old guard that the status quo and this catering to religious over-zealotry has no place anymore, and isn’t something most people in the world want to be around.

I’ve seen many documentaries about this statue and from the first, I found it beautiful and engrossing. But then again, I’ve never been a christian - my family’s pagan roots go back to the very beginning of time. And to honest, I sometimes find “christian” churches and cathedrals “terrifying” in their preservation of a dark-ages kind of sad reverence for spooky dieities and weird rituals. And paintings that are mystifying.

That Baphomet statue is so amazingly cool and so lovely - I don’t see why anyone would have an issue with it. Religious freedom is protected in this country, no matter what religion or who is practicing it. Satan is also known as the bright Day Star, there is a freedom even greater within the teachings of Satanism than you’ll find in any modern “christian” practice; all are welcome. Come in children, come in.

Trump is not going to jail, even the most critical of his critics have acknowledged how unlikely that is to happen. He surely deserves to rot in jail, trying to destroy all the foundations that America was founded on (which is only one of thousands of crimes) but, he will never see a jail cell. But I do agree with Joy on her intentions in making this remark.

I think you’re right, it’s a blanket term for any sex that isn’t for procreation. Which means, all men are sodomites, because I’ve yet to meet another guy who didn’t have sex for pure recreational purposes. In fact I would even say, most men don’t have sex for reproductive purposes.

I’d also like to point out - why is human sexuality called “Sodomy” when men have sex together but not when hetero people have anal sex. Especially since most gay couples do not regularly have anal sex anyway, and studies have shown that hetero couples frequently do. What makes it “sodomy” other than one’s won need to paint human sexuality as something bleak, horrible, and disgusting in as perverse a way as possible.

True. I always think though that people like Mike Johnson who are so mired in bigoted hate are already being punished, and live in a hell of their own making. He may be an uppity white nationalist, but he is burning in hell every day of his life.

Well that’s probably true, the earth can’t support a billion more people anyway. But I do hope people can feel safe expressing it. I’m gay, I have been out since 1980 (!) yes people do live that long - and I’ve always been vocal about it but I don’t live in a state that is gay friendly.

That’s true and I’m amazed it still is computing away (or would be if I had it set up right now). I have a newer computer and it’s the standard windows PC thing, and I really don’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my old Mac. There was a lot of weird stuff on Mac computers, games and things that were so out there. And most of them *(even ones that should be for PC also) don’t run on my newer system.

Yeah good question. What do I do with my Apple PowerMac from back in the day? I’ve held onto it because, well - I like it. But I really don’t use it for any actual computing - mostly to play old Mac games and watch Star Trek screensavers (!). I hate to give it up but I have no room to set it up anymore.

I agree with your points. I just feel that focusing on economic policy when most people are mired in debt and feeling impoverished isn’t going to really help gin up Biden’s chances. He isn’t really the one responsible for inflation or the vast debt people are in, and in fact he’s tried to erase student debt with no help from republicans. But - I think people “tune out” economic statistics and only want to hear how their paycheck is going to be bolstered. And for some reason they think trump can fix that - even though he actually will only make things much much MUCH worse.

Biden has actually had a lot of successes, it’s just that people refuse to acknowledge them and one of the biggest faults of his campaign is focusing on “Bidenomics,” which has worked, but hasn’t really done much to help people with food costs or stretching their paycheck. What he really needs to focus on is the disastrous ruination of the country if trump ever gets back into any sort of public office. Because if that happens, america will not only no longer exist, no one in this country will survive at all.

As an editorial in today’s Tribune noted, Biden’s age should not matter. What should matter most is that he’s had success in keeping our country together and enacting economic reforms that ultimately are working, no matter how skewed the public’s perception is (i’m just paraphrasing from the article). I agree that age isn’t really the factor that should determine who wins. What is really horrifying is there are people who think because Trump didn’t completely destroy America already, he deserves a second chance at it.

I’d rather have anyone, even Jeff Dahmer, as president. (even if he is dead already). A do-nothing president may be just what this country really needs.

The one who is already in hell is “sharpening his attacks” against the other immoral cretins in the House. Oh my they must be shaking in their boots and contrite over doing the one good thing they’ve ever done in their lives. At any rate, the void he left will be soon be filled with another immoral cretin just like him.

I enjoy your anger over my statements, it makes me happy to know I get under your skin. One of the biggest privileges I enjoy is not being a stinking turdball like people of your ilk. And I certainly do have fun in my fantasy land, more than you could ever dream. Have fun living amongst the cretins of the world - it’s a little better than what you deserve, but so be it.
