This is what you show people when they say they don’t care about privacy because they have nothing to hide.
Orion is an alternative that supports FF extensions. It’s still new and has bugs here and there, but it’s promising.
That last paragraph. I knew they were lying with that headline.
I know of SmartTube for android TVs, but has anyone found a solution for TVs running Tizen?
When I used to have a phone with a headphone jack and my car only had a radio/cd player, I always used it to get my phone’s audio into the car for navigation and music.
Can’t think of anything right now, but thank you for doing what you’re doing! Please keep it up.
I wish. The city itself is fine, being in Texas isn’t.
The email analogy always sounded weird to me, especially when you want to explain lemmy to a reddit user. It’s much easier to describe it as interconnected reddit websites, where anyone can host their own site and you can sign up with any site you want and interact with posts/users on other reddit sites.
So what was the deal with him supposedly being part of the coup to kick Altman out and at the same time one of the signatories on the letter to the board demanding to get Altman back? That was confusing.
They raised the minimum pay and will still allow customers to tip after delivery. That’s a step in the right direction.
What’s the point of breakneck speeds when you get downgraded after hitting a specific data limit. It’s like pumping water through a bigger hose but it all comes from a small bucket that turns it into a trickle when you hit the bottom.
I wonder if Apple Carplay can be developed to have privacy permission settings like other apps where you can toggle what they can access. I checked my vehicle on their site and it says it shares to the government but “silent” on insurance. Not exactly sure what silent means.
I tried doing my annual vehicle registration online on FF yesterday and the dmv site kept throwing an error and bringing me back to step 1 when I submit my payment information. Tried turning off all my extensions and still wouldn’t budge. Finally tried it in Chrome and it worked instantly. You’d think government websites of all places would have compatibility with most popular browsers.
I don’t know how many in that 9000 are actual developers, but you also have to take into account the non-technical corporate employees (accounting, legal, marketing, support, curators, HR, etc.). They also have offices in different countries that most likely have some sort of corporate structure (all of the above roles, just on a smaller scale).
But don’t they do that on their tv app already, that’s why DNS blockers don’t work? I’m pretty sure they serve targeted ads on the tv app.
The fact that companies pour millions into ads means it works for them. Don’t assume that just because you and I (and probably most users on here) aren’t susceptible, it doesn’t mean the majority of the population aren’t too.
Oh ok. Either way, I don’t think any of my top artists has a lot of fans there. lol. But if spotify says so, then so be it.
Edit: I use that account to test music from artists that I manage the distribution for. So I can literally see the demographics of listeners from the distribution platform and Estonia is not even in the top 20 of countries where listeners come from.
I have an account that was used for very limited streaming to a couple of artists. Spotify placed it at Estonia for some reason. None of the artists I listened to are even close to the general area.
