  • *20Gbps to your home from their node.

However, you never upgraded your computer beyond a 1Gbps network connection, the cross connect down the line is limited to less than 10Gbps, the server you want to access throttles you to 100Mbps max, you have 100+ ms ping times.

Unless you have 20+ devices in your house all trying to pull 1Gbps simultaneously, it’s a bit of a marketing stunt. There may be some edge cases, but even 4K streaming is only 25-50Mbps, so you could run 5 devices and be fine.

What I’d love to see is guaranteed latency and QoS settings that ensure I’ll never be throttled during any period rather than more bandwidth.

  • Okay. I’ll answer seriously to this. Blockchain can’t store an entire contract (not within reason). Likewise, contracts will never be made public. So at most you’ll get is a pointer to where the contract is held. The contents of the contract can be changed (though you could put a checksum in the chain too), but that still doesn’t address things. Also if you are concerned about “well no one else has a contract” then all that needs to happen is everyone gets a contract, then the chain is inundated with contracts and all you’d have is a pointer and a checksum and you have no idea what’s in the actual contract.

  • Sadly this is no longer a problem that can be fixed in the House. As long as republicans are scared of getting primaried by MAGA voters they’ll constantly tiptoe around what those 10% keep spewing. If they knew their seats were safe, you would have seen more of a bipartisan “fuck you” to the hardliners.

Hopefully there would have been some change after this months elections, but really one of the few ways I see left is if the democrats try to work with enough republicans who don’t have to worry about maga primaries to form a majority coalition.
