One time I read a book with the word “the” in it. Man, the dark places that took me. (/s if not obvious).
Where on earth do the book-banning nutjobs find these other nutjobs?
Ask me anything.

I was an English TA for 3 semesters, and the urge to unsheathe and wield the Red Pen of Pedantry was strong during his term. Ultimately, it was going to be a never-ending battle, so I just gave up.
But they will argue for ending free school lunch programs.
Always remember: When something starts out as “to protect the children” (as dubious as that claim often is), it’s always to get the foot of fascism in the door.
Under the new rule, states will not incur a penalty if their emissions increase.
The rule would do two things. First, it will require state transportation departments and planning agencies for urban areas to calculate emissions from vehicles on major routes using a formula based on gasoline and diesel sales data. Then the agencies would be required to set a target for reducing emissions over time. Progress would be measured every two years.
I’m not trying to let perfect be the enemy of good, and we have to start somewhere, but that is about the weakest thing we could do while still saying “we’re doing something”. And the worst part is that red states are still going to screech, bitch, and moan about it while tying it up in court despite them not actually having to do anything. :smh:
I don’t mean to be low-effort, it’s just all I’ve got at this point. It’s like watching cartoon villains run amok in a universe with the least effective superheros ever.
…wow.
I was thinking they adjourned the session by smashing a watermelon.
That is a rare piece of good news coming out of Texas, so hurrah! Also, is that gavel comically oversized or is their house speaker really tiny?
There will be a line.
Unrelated and on a lighter note, I’m about to head to the grocery store and their logo reminded me I was out of baking soda.
What is it with right-wingers posing for photos while they’re treasoning?
Oklahoma’s not really electing their best and/or brightest, are they?
Oof. What if they actually are?
Nope, just chemicals.
They even outlawed Delta 8 this year.
Is this [unnecessary] context [tagging] really [necessary] when they can just read the article?
The link says Milwaukee so that implies Wisconsin. The rest of the context falls into place from there. People can also read the article and clearly see it’s about the Wisconsin Governor Evers.
I get what you’re trying do with the titles, but can you…not? It’s making them even more incomprehensible.
Like when a wannabe tough guy says “hold me back!” and then starts struggling toward the person they want to fight. Then the camera zooms out to show no one is holding them back and they’re just there flailing.
AFAIK, neither Ted nor Al nor King Kong.
I always thought it was Kentucky in the middle. e.g. Pennsyltucky
Edit: I’m a moron. From the Wikipedia page "This quote is often paraphrased as “Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west, and Alabama in the middle”
