If you define innovate as invent something from scratch, then they did not innovate anything. Everything they’ve done has existed prior to them doing it. But under Steve they took those inventions and made them more usable and appealing to the common man.

That’s their strength really. Make stuff easier and more enjoyable to use.

Unfortunately that has led to lock-in in order to hold onto customers. Yes, they give you convenience but you’re bound to their products.

I first realised this when I had an Apple Watch and iPhone 7, then sold my iPhone and got an Android phone and the Watch became useless. Even though I had 3 Mac’s and an iPad Pro, they couldn’t work with Watch. You HAD to have an iPhone.

So I sold the Watch.

Then I paved over MacOS with Linux and I’m happy. Free to use whatever, whenever, however I want to, and added YEARS to the life of my mac’s which both had come to the end of support of MacOS.

My 2015 MacBook Pro and 2012 Mac Mini would be useless now if I was running OSX/MacOS and many apps wouldn’t be supported or even work. New apps definitely wouldn’t be supported because Mac Devs love to drop support for older versions.

On Linux they run great! Fast, fluid, can run any latest app no problem. I think Linux has probably added at least 10 years into the life of these machines.

I use mine. Quite often. Especially for using my nice headphones.

I’ve started using Bluetooth buds for when I’m at the hospital for dialysis because it’s easier without a cable. But the best audio experience I still get with wired.

Also the car has an aux input to play my music on the phone through the car stereo and it needs a jack.

They really can’t seem to grasp the concept they what people prefer, if they have to watch ads, is 1 short ad per video.

Not multiple short ads per video nor 1 long ad. Just 1 short (15 seconds tops) ad and that’s all.

However the responses from the AI were all correct. Maybe just not as fast. Maybe it took a few seconds to respond, but that is acceptable at this stage.

They wanted to show you how amazing it really is, and could be if it were hooked up to speech recognition and was able to resolve quicker. Which one day will be the case.

Surely it can’t be that hard to re-engineer? Can’t they take the port from the existing 15 and adapt it to the older models they are still building new? Even if it took 1 month to adapt, surely that would be enough time?

Over the last few years Muslims have massacred close to a million other Muslims through the various wars in the middle east. Arab Vs Arab. Did you make posts on social media calling for the stopping of the massacre? No? Why not? Why only now when at most a few thousand have died, and that because Hamas was firing rockets directly out of those families homes

No I don’t want to see them die. I’m not promoting death I’m just saying if you start a war, people will die. And if those same people were happy to see Americans and Jews die and celebrated that, you can’t expect many people to suddenly feel sorry for them.

If a school bully always laughs every time he beats up someone, then if a bigger boy comes and does the same to him, no one will really feel sorry for him will they?

As for allegations of human rights infractions, these are often not accurate and exaggerated in order to illicit outrage.

The only time Israel sets foot in Palestinian areas is when a killing or terrorist attack took place and they are looking for the killer. Or if there is a protest and stones, Molotov cocktails and the like are being thrown at them. In that case anyone has a right to defend themselves by shooting back. You would do the same.

As for the land issue, the land 100% belongs to Israel. They have continually inhabited it for the last 3200 years at least! The conquering Muslims took over for a long time with successive incursions. But the Jews were always there. Not in mass number but certainly in the thousands. It’s their land.

The Palestinians never existed as a people group or nation. They are Arabs, Egyptians and Lebanese (and mixes thereof) which came in the late 1800’s. They just wandered into Jewish land and plonked themselves wherever they wished. Now they say it’s their land. Bullshit! It’s always been Jewish land but they were colonized by the Muslims. The Jews are the natives, not these wanderers.

They should return to where they came from. And from what I’ve seen that’s exactly what Israel is planning to do: drive them south into the desert and from there to the surrounding country’s. Gaza will be leveled and Jewish once again.

The Jews are fed up of putting up with these foreigners and just want them out. I imagine.

The majority of the Palestinians supported and cheered for Hamas everytime they kill Jews. They even hand out sweets to everyone. Just like they did when 9/11 happened - they were cheering and thanking their allah and handing out sweets. Thousands of innocent Americans died and they were cheering.

Not it’s coming back to them. Jesus said “you reap what you sow” , in other words, what you do to others will come back to you

Just because a war is going on in someone’s country doesn’t mean you need to punish or target every company in that country. The war is not their fault. It has nothing to do with them.

They should ban the app altogether for discrimination.

He probably wasn’t making enough money to keep it going. Especially since few were donating I’m guessing. And even the tip amount was ltd then €1. That’s too low.

This way he gets some money for all his hard work. But it’s crap for everyone else.

I find his apps too simple and the dialer had a bug where if you get a call and accidently swipe away the notification, the phone would ring with no way to answer it.

Well that’s a pity to see a prominent figure post something wrong. Ok I’ll give you that then, but it still doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

I never said Israeli lives were worth more. But those death figures are likely exaggerated. They come from Hamas after all.

Don’t forget in WW2 millions of Germans were killed in bomb raids of the allies. Sadly this happens in war. I don’t recall anyone shedding a tear or protesting for those German lives…
