Yeah personally I only ever use points or rewards to buy digital media. Rarely do I ever pay actual money.
There’s a line in the EULA when you purchase digital media that says they can revoke your access to it at any time that they see fit. Look it up for yourself.
I wonder if the studios understand how much they are going to be shaking confidence in digital purchases by doing this. I know I’m going to think twice before I pay money for another digital copy of a movie or TV show.
Republicans generally count on news media missing the point of their shenanigans.
Threads isn’t doing so great either actually. Seems like their overbearing rules on what you can post is making it fairly unappealing.
Personally, I just want to see xwitter and Musk go under completely. So, the less advertising he gets, the more his personal money has to go into propping up that ridiculous platform. It’s gonna be really funny to watch. So far his dethroning as some kind of “genius” has been very entertaining. It’s amazing how quickly a person’s true lack of talent comes out when they actually have to put in some amount of work rather than just writing checks and cashing in on other people’s hard work.
It’s the super wealthy that are being prosperous meanwhile the rest of us are getting fucked.
Meanwhile every EV on the market is sold as a luxury car and they can’t grok why the fuck nobody’s buying. Gee I fucking Wonder…
Ostensibly there is a background check done on all of those it’s called the vetting process. But up until now it’s only been a voluntary process that virtually all presidents and most senators and congressmen go through.
To use the reverse term to that which Monica Lewinsky did, it took an luddite president like Trump to expose the weakness of not having laws that enforced those vetting processes.
You forgot the /s
That’s actually not the only route to getting a constitutional amendment. If 2/3 of the state legislatures in the country call a constitutional convention they can amend the Constitution independently of the Congress.
Though the likelihood of that is also very slim.
I’m not trolling but you can think what the hell you want, I don’t really give a shit.
I don’t see it as coercion because Facebook is not a necessary service. And I think everyone here who is tearing their hair out and screaming about how “illegal” this new policy is are being overly dramatic.
It’s just as simple as that. Oh, and my personal hope is that the new policy will encourage people to delete their Facebook. I would love to see the site go up in flames like Twitter is currently doing. So you thinking I’m some kind of sycophantic fanboy of Zuckerberg and his “metaverse” is quite hilarious to me. 🤣
This actually helps with a lot of things on YouTube lately. It is slowly devolving into a truly crappy site.
Which is really interesting since Jimmy Carter’s presidency was one of the most competent we’ve had in history. The only reason anybody shits on it is because of the smear job the republicans and the Reagan campaign did on it.
LoL, it’s never going to make it to court. 🤣
You people are hilarious.
If your only means of communication is Facebook, then that is an absolute failure of your government and society and you have much bigger fish to fry than Facebook’s shitty ad policy.
Informed consent. It’s right there in the text of the law.
Read carefully:
You 👏 do 👏 not 👏 require 👏 a 👏 Facebook 👏 page 👏 to 👏 live.
It is the very definition of superfluous luxury service. Just delete your page and be done with it.
Where exactly is the coercion here? The choices in order to maintain a Facebook account you either pay a fee or let them use your data to advertise to you. The other option is to completely close your Facebook account and delete all of your data on their servers. An argument can be made that they should make it easier to remove all of your data and several people that I know have made that argument. But other than that I don’t see anything they are doing as being illegal, in the EU or otherwise. Sure the way they presented is a pretty scummy but what do you want? It’s Facebook and it’s run by greedy corporate dick heads. If you don’t like it delete your Facebook profile.
I also find it hilarious that you don’t think they have lawyers who specialize in European Union law that don’t know exactly what the fuck they’re doing. This is a multi-billion dollar company, they can afford the best goddamn lawyers.
That is literally always what is going on.
