He could still win the presidency without them. Hell, he could even win there as a write in candidate.
I would love for his votes to be subject to the same amount of scrupulousness they subject Democratic votes to.

And Colorado is blue. We’d really like this to happen in a red or purple state. But at least it’s a precedent!
The nice thing is that, now there’s actually a precedent in place, maybe other states will follow on.
After voting primarily Republican from 1920-2004, the state has voted with the Democrats in the last four presidential elections, including Joe Biden’s 13.5% margin in 2020. That marked the first double-digit Democratic margin here since Lyndon Johnson won by 23% over Barry Goldwater in 1964.
What it does do is set a precedent that others might follow.
EarthStar Voyager?
He’ll probably appeal it, and he doesn’t have the money anyway. Might move to Florida to protect his pension from being garnished.
It’s a perjury trap!
Gotta be able to track down enemies of the state the next time they get into power …
“Well, it brings the subject into view and we hate hearing about it (cry harder, libs!) so we’ll just stop people from doing the thing that brings it into view and annoys us.” - conservative snowflakes, probably
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect." - Frank Wilhoit
The right-wing reactionary response to Obama’s election set race relations back.
Eh, they’ve already established fraud, but there are like 6 other charges that haven’t been decided yet. This trial is for the other charges plus the fines. Which will be appealed on every possible level.
Nah, he can do that outside on the courtroom steps without even risking perjury charges.
I’ve been hanging out in imgur, which is generally nice for memes and cats, and kbin for news. It’s been surprisingly effective.
We might wish that this all occurred a little faster or was a little more automatic, but at the end of the day they’re being punished for breaking the rules.
What bothers me is that all these accountability efforts depend on people within the system standing up, knowing that they’re going to be doxxed, hounded relentlessly by deranged cultists, have their lives and the lives of their loved ones threatened, and their jobs threatened - simply for trying to hold people accountable. It depends on the efforts of extraordinary people who are in the right place, and it shouldn’t have to. Especially as the cultists become more deranged and threatening.
She re-did and re-released a couple albums this year, had a massive worldwide tour, which she had filmed. The movie made $100,000,000 on opening weekend and is the highest-grossing concert film ever. She’s doing an awful lot of stuff this year, so of course she’s getting a lot of coverage.
She also managed to completely sidestep the entire multiple Hollywood strikes issue by the simple expedient of meeting with the unions, asking them what they wanted, and saying, “Okay, you got it.”
They didn’t say a jail sentence for trump, just ‘a jail sentence’. I mean, if they’re feeling technical, they could have one of the later cooperators spend 30 days in jail and meet that standard. … … … Actually, didn’t one of arrestees already have to spend time in jail because he couldn’t meet the original bail?
So, question: they’re obviously doing this to try to avoid being sued for the data breach. But they ToS aren’t retroactive, right? So someone could agree to arbitration but still sue them?
So much wonderful news coming out today!
