The other thing I can see happening is the EU investing in infrastructure, and then leaning more heavily into how things are conducted in the Fediverse. Right to be forgotten? Applies to all instances that want to federate with EU ones. Someone says something bad about the leader of Turkiye? Their instance is defederated if it doesn’t take it down.

Unlike the NYSE, the LSE actually has to deal with forced labour laws with teeth. Actual people at Shein and the LSE could face fines and imprisonment if it turns out they are intentionally using forced labour and the firm is listed. Career ending type of stuff.
Good point; I’ve used a USB extender that had WiFi at either end to handle the distance thing. Maybe it’s just me, but outside of laptops I don’t generally have a need to move my keyboards around much.
I’ve got a battery-free efficient keyboard already… it uses this cable connected to the computer to supply power when keys are pressed. Very energy efficient. Never needs to charge. And unlike these keyboards with a built-in lithium battery, it will last indefinitely.
I’d add yet a bit more nuance: the dehumanization that happens at the hands of insurers is a choice. These companies and all their employees have the option to do things differently or work somewhere else.
On the other hand, the dehumanization that happens TO the insured is out of their control; they have the option to be dehumanized or die.
Now, when talking about the dehumanization of CEOs: those CEOs have a choice to take those positions and make those decisions. So they are stepping into an already dehumanized role with their eyes open. Sure, they don’t deserve to be killed without a trial and due process for their actions, but the dehumanization aspect is a direct result of their informed choices.
Works great as a NAS controller, multimedia server and basic web server. Also works as an emulation server for older systems. Not so good for gaming, but there’s a LOT of computing that isn’t current gen game, audio or video editing, which are the three areas where most minipc rigs will fail.

Do actors in the gaming industry really sign on to a project without a contract stipulating what they will and won’t do, and how much it will cost?
This is already a solved issue in the movie and TV industries.
If it isn’t, it really should be, or things will become a mess as the fediverse becomes more political. It needs to be resistant to that sort of thing as well as corporate control.
