Your username is disgusting
Edit: lol he blocked me and accused me of harassment because I have made the same comment a couple of times, months apart typically.
Exactly! And these protest vote morons couldn’t pick a worse time to bury their stupid heads in the sand
They’re not ready for shit
Little known fact, only one thing can be true at a time. Checkmate libturd. /s
Discriminate against browsers.
And I did write that it would be too hard to enforce. I’m a software developer so I understand that it’s more complicated than it sounds.
Good to know about Stealth. Thanks!
Yeah I might try the others a couple more times before giving up but it’s not gone well for me thusfar. Libreddit and invidious worked for me for like 4 days last time, both crapped out about the same time. It’s annoying to have to repeatedly troubleshoot what used to be something you could basically count on working
I have also had piles of trouble. I don’t get how so many people apparently have none
Most people? Absolutely.
Only if we narrow our scope to the commonly thought of types of net neutrality. I think if we had foreseen intentionally treating browsers differently, this type of thing would have 100% been rolled into that original conversation about net neutrality. It’s the same idea: artificially modifying a web experience for capitalist gain.
I personally wish it could be illegal for them to do this, but I do think it would be really hard to enforce such a law.
They would do that because they suddenly changed their mind about their strategy needing to keep things as proprietary as possible. It’s unlikely, but apple did do that to a degree with osx
Well, it’s not always so cut and dried. For example, do I need to research the maker of an app that looks useful? I don’t think most people on lemmy are the types to literally not care at all where software comes from, so I’m just trying to understand better how we can properly draw that line
If nothing else, you discovered a way to gloss over the impossible thing in a bad scifi movie. “No it works because we added a timing signal!”
random untrustworthy code.
Honestly, is there much code in the world which doesn’t meet this description? How do you propose we decide what is trustworthy? Every time I update my packages I’m getting possibly millions of new lines of code that I can’t possibly personally vet
Right, this made it past at least two people, assuming they work at all traditionally
What’s so moronic about people like you, is you think that anyone looking to further understand an issue outside of your own current thoughts, clearly is a monster harming people in the worst way you can conjure in your head. The original person saying it’s weird you’re looking for trouble couldn’t have been more dead on.
That’s a braindead take
Projection. Since you have no room for new thoughts in your head, I consider this a block request.
