What’s a “retail wine magnet”?
Bahahaha I didn’t even catch that. People need to proofread their subtitles
Or, in case you’re seriously asking, they meant “magnate”
Not asking seriously. I was amazed that’s directly from the commondreams.org website. People rely entirely too much on spell check as a proof reader.
you’d think they would learn from Bloomberg’s billion dollar boondoggle that you can’t just throw personal money at a campaign and magically win when you have no other redeeming political qualities to make people care
Eh, plenty of examples of it working though. For example, that guy’s entire political career up until now (and maybe still after this, assuming he’s running for reelection in the state legislature)
“So…. Not a single poll had Alsobrooks winning by anywhere close to double digits, elections absolutely can break late, and campaigns matter,” said Colin Seeberger, senior communications director for the Center for American Progress. “Feels like there are some lessons to be learned here for, I don’t know, future elections.”
Sure is! Polls are worthless because the biggest voting block doesn’t answer rando numbers.
